You are blessed!

You are blessed!

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”
Proverbs 23:7 King James Version (KJV)

How do you see yourself? Your heart beliefs determine the course of your life and your general experience of life. Many believers live from a place of wrong beliefs and are subsequently suffering for it. For example, many believers are begging and pleading with God for His blessing. They are trying to earn it or deserve it and this is all based on a wrong belief that they are not blessed and should try to obtain God’s blessing. They don’t see themselves as blessed but as trying to obtain God’s blessing.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”
Ephesians 1:3 King James Version (KJV)

God has (past tense) blessed (past tense) us will all (not just some) spiritual blessings because we are now in Christ. You cannot become something you already are and you cannot obtain something that is already yours! There are two types of Christians: those who are blessed and believe it, and those who are blessed and don’t believe it. You can tell who believes it and who doesn’t by the way they talk, act, live and even give!

“Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts!”
Ephesians 1:3 The Passion Translation (TPT)

Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm – you may say that this says that our blessings are spiritual and in the heavenly realm, not in the physical. Yes, you are right, but your thoughts are incomplete. You see, God is a Spirit (John 4:24), and as a Spirit, He spoke the universe into existence (Hebrews 11:3). The spirit precedes the physical. The spiritual realm is eternal while the physical realm is temporal. Yes, you have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm, but they are a present tense reality for you – they are not for you one day when you get to heaven, but they are yours for the taking now! Salvation is a gift of grace to be received by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) and it brings you into Christ (wrapped into Christ) where every spiritual blessing now belongs to you. You don’t have to try and earn it because your new creation status (2 Corinthians 5:17) qualifies you for it.
