The Word has a lot to say about who we are now that we are believers. The moment that we received Christ we became new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). God’s Spirit came into your spirit and He made you His dwelling place – His residence (1 Corinthians 3:16).
If you focus on who you are in the flesh you’re building on a foundation of sand. Even if you focus on your strengths and good qualities in the flesh, it’s going to be short-lived. Our true source of strength, success and fruitfulness comes from Christ in us. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” As believers, we need to know who we are in Christ – these are spiritual truths which we can only know through God’s Word.
