I have every blessing!

I have every blessing!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
Ephesians 1:3-6 New King James Version (NKJV)

Throughout Ephesians (especially chapter 1) Paul shows us that as believers we are “in Christ”. This refers to our vital (life-giving) union with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17; Romans 8:11). Our union with Christ gives us a new identity that redefines us.

“But the one who joins himself to the Lord is mingled into one spirit with him.”
1 Corinthians 6:17 The Passion Translation (TPT)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

The moment that we say “yes” to Jesus we are united with Christ and are now in Him and are one with Him. Through our union or relationship with God (see 1 John 5:4), we have a supernatural ability to live a supernatural life (See John 14:12; Philippians 4:13). As believers, we are now one with Jesus, one with His nature and one with His power. We are now one with the answer to whatever problems we face.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us…”
Ephesians 1:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Most believers don’t have a revelation of this important truth: we are already blessed!
God does not want to bless you because He already has blessed (past tense) you. In Christ and because of Christ, we are blessed. Sadly, many believers live as if they have no blessing and need to be blessed. They pray as if God has never blessed them and never will. They are trying to qualify themselves and convince God that they are good enough for His blessing. You cannot qualify yourself for God’s blessing through your performance because Jesus qualified you by His grace. The blessing already belongs to you; now you can access it (make a withdrawal) by faith. You are blessed! We need to stop seeing ourselves in a deficit and start seeing the abundant supply that we have within!

There’s more! The scripture doesn’t just say that we are blessed, but that we are blessed with every spiritual blessing. The Living Bible says, “…who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ.” (See Romans 8:32; 2 Peter 1:3). You aren’t blessed with some blessings but all blessings. One believer doesn’t have more of God’s blessing that another – we all have access to all spiritual blessings in Christ. One believer may be experiencing more of the blessing than another but it’s not because God is rewarding their performance, it’s because they are responding to God in faith and receiving more of His blessing.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”
Ephesians 1:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

We are blessed with every (not some) spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Some unbelieving believers would read this and argue that our blessings in Christ are spiritual and not material because the scripture says that we have every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. Yes, our blessings are spiritual, but that does not mean that it’s not real, it just means that it’s not seen. God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and as a Spirit, He spoke and created the world (Psalm 33:9; Hebrews 11:3). The invisible (spiritual) created the physical. You have a heavenly bank account which is full of spiritual blessings – you have an abundant supply. It’s real even though you cannot see it. You are a spirit-being (1 Thessalonians 5:23) with more than a truck-load of spiritual blessings. Just like God (Spirit) spoke and created the seen natural world, you too can speak and release what’s in the spirit (every blessing) and make it manifest in the natural (Proverbs 18:20-21; Mark 11:23-24). You have a part to play in experiencing the spiritual blessings that are already yours because you are now in Christ. We need to stop seeing the lack that often surrounds us and start seeing the abundant supply that lives within us. God is not withholding His blessing from you but has already lavished it on you because of Jesus!

We need to develop a “word-minded” attitude of “I’m blessed with everything I need”.  Say this out loud: “I AM BLESSED WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING BECAUSE I AM IN CHRIST! I LACK NOTHING! I HAVE AN ABUNDANT SUPPLY!”
