Celebrating the GOOD NEWS!

“9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

The news of Jesus really is good news. His birth, His reason for coming, what He would accomplish for all people – this is the Gospel (good news) and when people truly hear it and believe it, it certainly brings great joy!
  
Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of the Saviour of the world (1 John 2:2)! God loved the world so much that He sent the greatest gift of all – Jesus (John 3:16)! This gift is for everyone – no one is excluded. All we need to do to enjoy the gift is believe (Romans 10:9-10) – it’s really that simple. It’s not about trying to do good things and live a good life in order for God to save you. All you need to do is believe in Jesus and receive His free gift of eternal life (John 3:16; John 17:3). This is good news which brings great joy!
