Again and again they limited God, preventing him from blessing them. Continually they turned back from him and provoked the Holy One of Israel!

What you believe is either limiting you or empowering you, and it’s also limiting God from moving in your life, or not. Most of the time we’re not even aware that we have limiting beliefs in our hearts, but the Bible shows us that what’s inside determines the outcome (As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7). What we believe is vital! You may be frustrated with some things happening in your life right now and what I am sharing with you now is a key to breaking out of whatever is going on! I am not saying that everything bad happening to you is your fault, but it’s your limiting beliefs that are keeping you in that place of frustration.
 
I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection come only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth. He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall. God is my keeper; he will never forget nor ignore me.

Stop focusing on what’s going on around you – your circumstances – and look up! Start focusing on God and His promises! He is your true help! I love that: He is your true help – that means that He helps you out of the pit and He didn’t push you into it. If you believe that God put you in that place of misery or that He gave you that misery, it limits you and Him. If you believe that your misery is a gift from God, you won’t be able to overcome it. God is not the author of your problems but the answer to them! James 4:7 says that we should submit ourselves to God, resist the devil and then the enemy will flee! What you believe is either limiting you and holding you in bondage, or it is enabling and empowering you to overcome and walk in victory. The enemy will try to attack you in life, and he will even do it “in the name of God” so that you submit to it – but you need to resist the devil and his works in your life! You need to know what is from God and what is from the devil (your enemy) so that you can submit to what needs to be submitted to, and resist what you should resist. You can only know this through knowing the Word.
 
Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

We need to take the time and go through the effort of renewing our minds – changing the way we think and believe – so that we can experience change in our lives. Wrong beliefs are limiting you and preventing you from experiencing all that God has for you. The riches of God’s grace are yours (Titus 2:11) but you need to access them and receive them by faith (correct belief) – His grace doesn’t accidently manifest in your life; it must be received by faith (Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:8). No one ever got saved by accident – grace for salvation must be received! My people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). The number one reason people perish is their ignorance or wrong knowledge. You don’t perish because of the devil but because you don’t know who you are in Christ. You don’t perish because God has some mystical purpose in your suffering – no! You perish because you wrongly believe that God wants you to suffer for some greater purpose. The purpose of all suffering is to destroy you, not bless you.
 
Change your beliefs – start thinking like God thinks (according to His Word) and you will change your life!
